1778

April came, and the Americans rolled a '1' for French Entry right off, a bit decisive there.

1776, 1777, and 1778 saw no combat at less than 5:1 odds. The first, last and only such combat came in Spring of '79, at 2:1 by the British in South Carolina. The Americans safely withdrew on the first round. Not surprising for such timid troops.

By December '79, with French help off and on to keep the British back a bit, the American New England army grew to 26CA, and the British were unable to hold at least one area.
